Happy 4th Weekend

Fun on the 4th. We went down and watched the Elkins parade. The weather was perfect and much cooler than it has been lately. The rain was coming but we made it through and back inside before the rain storm began. I think Presley had a great time.

Kyle and Dillon took the buggy in the parade. We love this little ride and have lots of fun on it.

Here is a picture of some of the crew. Me and Presley, my mom, Aunt Helen, Joe, Granny Ellen, Aunt Pat and Colton and Aunt Kaye taking a picture also. I guess my dad and Uncle Kenny managed to escape the picture - I think they are in the back by the little buggy thing.

That night we went back down to the park for the fireworks but Presley got to play a little before it got dark.

She's not quite big enough to do the slide alone so she gets a little help from mom and dad. She loves to go but the landing at the end is a bit messy without some help.

And the fireworks begin. Presley does really well with loud noises - so far. The trucks and sirens at the parade didn't scare her and neither did the loud fireworks.

Dad was trying to get a cool action shot with fireworks in the back but Presley didn't want to look at him and was also to busy playing with her glow in the dark necklace. I remember loving those and she seemed to be happy with hers also. She had to go to bed with it. I of course had to sneak in and steal it away after she fell asleep - well I sent my mom to get it.

This is actually the next night at my grandma Ellen's house. We did a BBQ where Brent cooked some great wings, burgers, corn and we had lots of other great food. Presley was so tired from the long day before and another long day this day she just couldn't stay awake any longer.

Brent and Dillon had to use the grill to light the sparklers, we didn't have a lighter. Who doesn't have a lighter on the 4th of July for fireworks, yep us.

She was so tired she slept right through Kyle's great fireworks show. Kyle was kind enough to buy and set off lots of great ones, he gave the Elkins show a run for it's money. Thanks Kyle!

So cool. They got one of these balloon things where you light it and the heat makes it rise. It was really neat it just kept going and going and going. I had never seen one like it before and it was really a neat thing to watch.
