Spring Break Trip

I noticed I forgot to blog on our Spring Break trip down to visit my mom in Texas. We had a great time. Thanks mom for flying us down. We hope to come again soon.

Mom took us to the Rain forest Cafe as soon as we got in. The place is so neat. They have 3 different floors with different types of animals and huge salt water fish tanks. Every 30 minutes or so the rain storm begins and the animals move and smoke comes up. It is such a great place to go and all the kids seem to love it. Presley wasn't sure at first but loved the fish.

We went down to the River Walk. Be careful or you could just fall in - no guard rails for the river.

Had to visit the Alamo. Really neat and a nice garden area with old artifacts and such. I highly recommend it if your ever in town.

Loved this picture.

That is Mexico right behind us. We talked about leaving all our troubles behind and darting across the Rio Grand but Presley was sleeping and the Boarder Patrol guy was sitting in his car just down from us so we decided against it.

This is a neat little sculpture outside of the Laredo airport. We went there for lunch one day. Sounds strange but they have the best Mexican food around there.

We had a little bo bo when Presley fell in the parking lot. Seriously it was just a small scratch but I couldn't resist making the most of the training room facilities at TAMIU, where mom works, to fix Presley up.

Man it was hot when we were there. Presley insisted on having a bottle of water almost constantly. If you could see all our pictures she would be carrying around one 90% of the time.

We visited the mall where Presley enjoyed her little safari jeep ride.

Beautiful isn't it.

We went for a little sunset fishing on the pier one night.

Well Brent fished we just played. (Notice the bottle of water...again)

Plane ride home. (No bottle water on the plane - they have can water...I've never seen such a thing)

Made it back home. It was a great trip and great to see my mom but I think Taylor was missing us so we were happy to get back to see her.

Late Easter Post

Presley woke up Easter morning to find all her goodies from the Easter Bunny. Thanks to the Grandma's and Grandpa's that brought and sent things over. She had quite the basket(s).

These had little toys in them so she wanted help opening.

Getting dressed for lunch at Aunt Kaye's house. Thanks to Aunt Kaye for the great Easter bag with fun play stuff. Presley wasn't sure about keeping on the shoes - these are to easy to take off. The bow didn't last long either. She won't keep anything in her hair.

Playing with Andrew. Isn't he to cute!

All my guys.

My little ice eater. She would rather have a cup of ice than food any day. She will carry it around forever eating on it then want more. I worry about her little hands freezing off.

Family photo time.

She's into this new lip thing.

Easter Egg Hunt @ Elkins Community Center

Last weekend we had a nice breakfast and activities at the Community Center. They had a story time and games then a nice egg hunt. Presley's a little young to appreciate the story time and games but she did enjoy watching the other kids.
There were quite a few kids from school there and a group of my 1st grade girls loved Presley and wanted to play and watch her for me. Very cute and Presley seemed to enjoy all the attention.

Here Presley wants to watch the other kids rather than get ready for the story.

Getting the hang of this hunting thing. Don't really care to carry around that heavy basket though.

Showing all our eggs to Granny Great.

Time for a "snack". They had cookies and punch after the big hunt. Presley is into ice right now and loves to carry around her own cup with ice in it. So I was glad that she wasn't interested in the cookies since we don't really do the sugar snacks.

This wasn't at the hunt but later that day after a nap we had a little hair issue.
