~The Big 40~

To all my loyal blog readers who I’m sure are sitting on the edge of their seats waiting to hear news of our precious new arrival. Today, February 21, 2008, is the due date of our little angel and I am still sitting at work. So, long story short not much is happening. I am planning for my last day of work to be tomorrow and my mom will be arriving on Saturday for a few days of mother daughter bonding and last minute shopping for the few items we still need. I think the swing is the last big thing I have been advised is a life saving item to have and maybe a few more burp cloths and sheets should do it for now.

Brent and I will be heading to the hospital on Monday night to begin the festivities. They are planning to induce early Tuesday morning and have our little bundle by the end of the day Tuesday. We’ll post pictures as soon as possible, but don’t have internet at the house so it may take a little time to figure out how we’re going to go about getting them up.

We are still paying lots of attention to Taylor these days and getting her prepared for her new rival. She has done really well with the addition of all the new things in the house and has checked out each and every item that has come in. My friend Rose has been over with Hunter quite a bit and Taylor takes that pretty well so we are hoping for the best. Taylor is just now discovering that under the covers is much warmer that out. You know Florida winters get pretty cold, a few mornings the house has been in the low 60’s and that’s just too much for her. She insists on sleeping under the covers most of the time now. We’re in trouble if we ever move somewhere with a real winter – we may all freeze :)

~38 Week Update~

I had my weekly doctor appointment today, no progress. Nothing seems to be happening yet so we are just waiting. She is head down, still growing and her heart rate is good so we'll be going back again next week, hopefully with some progress this time. I'm still feeling good and seem to have quite a bit of energy so I'm thankfull for that. We are very ready to see her and these last few weeks are slowly passing. I haven't quite got her room done yet, but I'll post that when I am.

Also, I've had a few people call to see where we are registered - you can go to http://www.babiesrus.com/ to the baby registry and put in either Brent or myself and see our goods :) We want to thank everyone that have sent gifts, we are working on the thank you's but as usual I'm slow at those type things. Thanks so much for helping us prepare for our new addition to the family.
